Safe Haven Pharmacy was founded to fill a gap in Baltimore — a pharmacy where LGBTQ+ people, people living with HIV, and anyone who has felt unwelcome in traditional healthcare can walk in and be treated with dignity.
Who we are
Our mission
We believe that access to affirming, knowledgeable pharmacy care is a right — not a privilege. Safe Haven Pharmacy exists to make that real for the LGBTQ+ community and everyone who has been underserved by the healthcare system.
Located in East Baltimore, we serve our neighbors with the full range of pharmacy services, with a deep specialization in HIV prevention and treatment, PrEP, STI care, and Hepatitis C treatment.

Our story
Why we exist
Baltimore has one of the highest rates of HIV in the country. The LGBTQ+ community — especially Black and brown queer people — faces compounding barriers to care: stigma, discrimination, cost, and a healthcare system that was not built with them in mind.
Safe Haven Pharmacy was created to be different. We are a place where getting your PrEP refill, picking up HIV medication, or asking a question about an STI treatment does not require courage. It just requires walking in.
